THE CARPENTER'S STORY
Share

An old carpenter informed his builder that he was retiring. The builder was sorry to hear this and asked if he would stay on for just one more house… as a personal favor. The old carpenter agreed but soon shoddy workmanship gave evidence that his heart was no longer in his work. When the builder came by to inspect the house he handed the front door keys to the carpenter. "This is your house" he said, "my gift to you for your excellent service all these years."

Like that carpenter we sometimes don't give our best effort; we take the line of least resistance.

Life is a do-it-yourself project. Your life today is the result of the attitudes and choices you made in the past. Your life tomorrow will be determined by the attitudes you choose and the choices you make… today.
