BEWARE OF THREE TYPES OF PEOPLE
As mature people with common sense, we would never think of crossing a busy street without first looking both ways. Whether walking or driving, we must focus on what we’re doing.
The same thing can be said for our journey through life. The armour used to protect ourselves is known as DECERNMENT. Some people are potential allies while others are potential enemies; some will benefit, others will harm us. We have all been stung by someone who cannot honour a confidence.
One of the character traits we should be looking for in others is truthfulness. Trust is a slow growth flower. Trusting prematurely is foolhardy. Having someone you can place your trust in is priceless! No amount of money can buy trust.
We have no friend or Ally in someone who will not share a truth and, better wounds from a friend than kisses from an enemy.
Along with the person who fails to be truthful and trustworthy, is the person who is always agreeable. At best, they do us no good, at worst they could be trying to manipulate us.
The third type person we want to be wary of is the person who sooths with flattering lips or has a boastful tongue. Where they are, deception is close at hand.
